Construction Awards Budget Estimator
A closeout recognition budget is quantity times unit cost, plus design or setup charges, packing and shipping, and tax or duty. The Jobsite Awards estimator totals whatever figures you enter in one currency. It contains no price list, so take the amounts from a written quote or from a planning allowance your project sets.
Build your plan
Use one currency throughout. All costs come from your inputs. The result is a planning total, not our selling price or a tax calculation.
The decision behind a construction crew recognition order
Crew appreciation, milestone displays and equipment labels should have separate approval owners. Use actual project records for public achievement wording. A permanent dedication also needs an agreed installation location and mounting detail, while personal awards need names and presentation grouping.
Keep with your brief: Approved milestone, project title, crew roster and display location.

Compare a complete illustrative order
Use 24 pieces at an assumed 60 currency units each, 80 for setup, 45 for packing and shipping, and 30 for tax or duty. These are arbitrary arithmetic inputs, not our prices or a tax assessment.

Calculated example result
Planning total: 1,595.00 in your entered currency. Calculated from your costs; request a written quote to confirm pricing.
Load these inputs in the tool aboveUnderstand what the result means
(Quantity × entered unit cost) + setup + packing and shipping + entered tax or duty
The example totals 1,595.00 in the entered currency. Changing the unit cost affects every piece; changing a one-time setup charge affects the order once. Use that distinction when deciding whether a simpler design or a different quantity actually reduces your total.
How does a project manager fit awards into a closeout budget?
A project manager has a line in the closeout budget for crew recognition and needs to know if two plans fit inside it. Plan one is a Hard Hat Style Safety Award for every person on the roster. Plan two is a Crew Recognition Award for foremen only, with one shared Project Completion Plaque for the trailer. Each plan has its own written quote from Jobsite Awards. She runs the estimator once per plan, copying the quantity, unit cost, setup and shipping lines from the matching quote. The crew-wide total and the foremen-only total can now be compared line for line. She takes both to the operations manager with a note on what each plan says to the crew, since the smaller total is not the whole argument.
Check these details before using the result
- Blending awards and tags in one run
- Run crew awards, wall plaques and equipment tags separately. Their unit costs differ widely, and an average hides which group drives the total.
- Forgetting a second delivery address
- If awards go to head office and tags go to the yard, each shipment has its own packing and shipping line. Enter both.
- Leaving duty blank on an overseas project
- For a site in another country, ask what the quote says about duties. Note an unknown beside the result instead of typing zero.

Project Completion Plaque in Satin Metal, Acrylic & Hardwood
Choose the event the piece records: handover, completion, opening or a team achievement. Those dates can differ, so keep the main inscription precise and use a short message to recognize the crew's contribution.

Safety Milestone Plaque
Use the metric approved by the responsible safety team, including the period or cutoff date. A recognition plaque should reproduce the actual record without turning it into a certification or a promise about future performance.

Hard Hat Style Safety Award
Choose the exact contribution being celebrated, such as training support or team leadership. The decorative hard hat represents the work; it is not protective equipment or proof of a safety qualification.

Years Injury-Free Perpetual Plaque
Confirm the metric and record with the safety lead before engraving any injury-free claim. Decide whether entries represent calendar years, projects or another period so the board does not mix unlike measures under one heading.

Jobsite Safety Sign
Supply the wording and symbols approved for the site rather than treating a decorative layout as a compliance specification. State viewing distance, exposure and mounting conditions so the proposed sign can be designed around its use.

Does the estimator know what a project plaque costs?
No. It multiplies and adds the closeout figures you type, and nothing else. It does not look up a product, a material or a quantity break. For a firm figure, request a written quote from Jobsite Awards for your roster and wording, then enter those amounts to compare plans.
Which cost code should recognition pieces go under?
The tool cannot tell you; that is a matter for your company's accounting rules. What it can do is give separate totals when you run it per group. Many teams want recognition, permanent building plaques and equipment identification reported apart, and separate runs make that simple.
Which buying guide should you read next?
All buying guidesCoordinate the purchase while keeping recognition awards and equipment identifiers in separate technical, wording and receiving workflows.
Name the actual project milestone before writing a dedication, so a groundbreaking tribute does not imply that construction is complete.
Keep ceremonial recognition and operational identification on separate schedules. Approve the actual milestone wording for awards, and use the responsible team's drawings for equipment labels. Then organize packing by ceremony, site or installation group so the right pieces reach the right people.
Keep an unconfirmed dedication date as a controlled hold, with an approved date-free alternative ready before the project schedule changes.
